Six days of Creation

There is a sense, that a times, we as human beings have a tendency to overlook, over react, and over analyze situations in life which eventually leads to our own understanding. We have a tendency to want to know all, explain all, and master all, but when dealing with the Word of God (truth) and faith, we need to submit to its authoritative power. There are things that will never be known, things which God himself leaves to “mystify” his sovereignty. How could one believe in someone so predictable? For, to try to understand God, we try to understand man, but “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”. This statement reveals that God’s ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are greater than our thoughts. “Special Creation” reveals the omnipotence of a big God, who with a breathe of his nostril changes the formation of a galaxy. There is much evidence through the Word of God, scholars, and studies that “special creation” should be taken at face value. For the greatest evidence found is in the study of his Word. The word “Yom” found in Genesis, in the original context in Hebrew is a numerical adjective which means a duration of twenty four hours (24). Any other word could have been used, for example “olam” which mean “an indefinite long period of time”. But, the Bible and it’s writers were intentionally specific that the Hebrew word “Yom” was to be used, in order to be clear of truth. God himself wanted all readers to understand that he (the Lord) created the heavens and the earth in six days, and on the seventh day rested.

For what is so difficult for the Master Carpenter, when he himself is also a master Architect.

Vital Armor.

It is my opinion that “The Belt of Truth” is the most important spiritual armor that a Christian can possess. For the belt of truth is what holds all the other armor in place, and give relevant strength and power to resist and aggressively tackle the works of the enemy. Without “truth” our faith is distorted, our peace is limited, our salvation becomes harder to believe, our sword becomes dull, and our breastplate will be warped. For the “truth” is what sets us free from the lies of the enemy, and the indulgences of this world.

Can Christians be Demon Possessed.

It is clear that after reviewing this wonderful outline of information, that the influence and existence of demons are prevalent in the world. The question though still stands, whether “a Christian” or a “Spirit filled Christian” can be possessed by a demon(s). It is my contention, that in order to try to address this question we need to define what is a Christian, and what is a Spirit filled Christian?

A Christian can been defined as an individual who believes in his/her heart, and confesses with his/her mouth, that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that he resurrected from the dead. Romans 10

A Spirit Filled Christian can be defined as a Christian (above), who has been baptized (immersed) and filled with the Holy Spirit, and who now has the Spirit of Christ dwelling in him/her. Acts 1:5 (i added some additional scripture below)

It is hard to fathom that Christ would share his dominion with a demon spirit(s), if the believer has been filled with the spirit of Christ – and Christ has taken residence in his/her heart. For it is clear, that Satan himself was casted out of heaven when his great rebellion took place. It is important to understand that every Christian should desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit, in order to resolve some of the controversy regarding demon possession. I do believe that Christians can be influenced, and at times assist in acts of rebellion against God’s work – just ask Judas & Peter. But, considering that these acts were performed prior to the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I must contend that it is hard to fathom that the Holy Spirit would reside and make his home in the heart of a believer and share his residence with a demon spirit. Just take into account the word “unoccupied” in the scripture Matthew 12:43-45. The evil spirit found rest in the home, which was unoccupied, not necessarily in order, or cleaned up. Food for thought.

For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you
Acts 2:38
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:15
When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,

because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
Acts 19:2
and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

Evil today.

Those who have eyes, will see. And those who have ears, will hear.

If you look around you, if you tune into the media coverages, if you simply visit some of the local Churches, stop by your small businesses, or visit your neighbors house, you will be amazed to find that demonic activity is very prominent. They do not tangibly manifest as a “horny” red caped entity. But, are found in the subtle behaviors, conducts, and doctrines, embedded within a worldly system, that “sells” you dreams for truth. If we were to conduct surveys about the physical, mental, and spiritual condition of families throughout different cultures, we would be utterly amazed at the percentage of illnesses, prides, traditional influences, idolatry, mental & physical handicaps, wicked, unclean, and self indulging conditions of citizens throughout the world. Demonic activity (demons), clearly are devising strategies and assisting in plans to preach a system of peace, wealth, prosperity, oneness, without Christ. Jesus has become another commodity, rather then the Son of the Living God. Another traditional entity, rather than Savior and Lord. These influences, and the veiling of his deity thwarts the sovereignty of our God, and is in direct line with the opposing forces of demons which want to hinder his work. Take into account this question “even as believers, are we promoting and selling a ministry, the name of a Church, the book of a man, or are we promoting & proclaiming Christ?” Just something to think about.:) It is that subtle.
